Expanding Parks + Recreation Opportunities
Woodinville is growing, and so are our parks, trails, and recreation spaces. Investing in outdoor spaces means more opportunities to play, gather, and enjoy our beautiful surroundings. Michelle Evans is working to expand recreation options that benefit families, outdoor enthusiasts, and our four-legged friends!
Key initiatives and ongoing projects to expand parks + recreation opportunities

Member of Eastrail Advisory Council: Michelle Evans is the Woodinville City Council appointed member to the RAC, working with regional partners to bring Eastrail in Woodinville to life.
Secured $5 million in federal funding: supporting trail planning and expansion at least 10 years faster than we would have been able to do without this critical funding.
Advocating for a dog park: identifying potential locations and working with the city and community members to create a safe, well-designed off-leash area.
Expanding Wood Trails for outdoor exploration: developing a soft-surface trail system across 53 acres of forested open space, linking the Warehouse District to the Wellington neighborhood.
Bringing a new kayak & paddleboard launch to the Sammamish River: making it easier to access the water.
Wilmot Gateway park stage: secured a $250,000 county grant for which will help finalize the planning and permitting for a new stage for concerts, performances and community events in the park.
